My husband and I started eating clean a month ago. I can't express how much more energy I have...I have so much that I find it's difficult to sleep more than 5 or 6 hours! haha In one month I've already lost 17 pounds! Yay!
I've made a goal to lose 100 pounds in one year. Let's see if I can do it!
Here are a few websites that we have found pretty awesome:

Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Life Purpose.. Life plans...
Lilou Mace does it again.... Fantastic interview! I hope one day, during an obe I can discover what some of my plan includes. It's so frustrating feeling like there is something you should be doing in life, but not knowing what or how.

Judging...Face Off
I have been trying to be more aware of my energy towards others lately. Tonight, while watching a "reality" show, I realized that I was critiquing as if I had a right to. Anyone here watch Face Off?
Well, there was a girl on the show with an injured hand that has not been able to perform to her best capabilities for the past few weeks. When working as a team in two's, they sent her partner home a couple weeks ago. I spoke out loud to the TV (as if it could hear me). I said that it was unfair that the girl that was injured should have stepped down and let her team member stay. Well, tonight she finally did that. It made me realize that, even in my own life, I can't control what other people do. I just need to send everyone love and be patient, knowing that in their own time they will do what is right, or wrong. Either way, it is not my life, not my decision...
Things always happen for a reason (in real life, excluding television created for ratings) and I must be the strong one to bite my tongue, be positive, be supportive and love my fellow brothers and sisters no matter what they do or how they act. LOVE is the most important thing in life. I shouldn't judge, even a TV show, because if that was me up there, I wouldn't want the tables turned. It's only FAIR to give everyone in life, including myself, the benefit of the doubt and allow us all to mature and grow at our own pace with LOVE and patience.. That's what life is about! Lesson learned.. :)

A dream...
Last night I was reading about lucid dreams prior to sleep. I went to bed with the intention of lucid dreaming. Upon awaking I remembered a dream where there were three people in a small apartment (which I have never been in before). Two of them needed help- a man and a woman. They looked lost and wanted to escape reality by drinking alcohol. The man came over to me and looked so sad, so lost (best term I can describe him with). I told him everything would be ok and he should do what he needed to do to feel better. The third person, an older woman in her 50-60's, sat on the sofa taking notes of everything. Near the end of the dream I was sitting on the sofa discussing the two people (I can't remember what we said exactly) and the two people were gone. I had a feeling that they "moved on".
This is the first time I have dreamt anything like this. It felt more real than a regular dream. It also felt like I couldn't control the dream yet I could control what I said and did - somewhat like 'reality'. I wish I could remember what I spoke to the woman about exactly...

20 Small Acts of Kindness (SAKS)
The other day I promised a list of SAKS (Small Acts of Kindness) that you can easily incorporate into your daily life. My sincere apology for the delay. I'm sorry.
I should know better than to promise something at a specific time. Life always throws curve balls and priorities change. BUT here is the list...though just a little late. :)
Here are 20 to get you started. They may not be a Top 20 or the most inspirational 20 but they are easy little ways to introduce SAKS into your life...
1. Open a door for someone
2. Stop your car (when legally appropriate, like in a parking lot) to let someone else have the right of way, and do it with a smile.
3. If you think of saying something negative about someone, stop, think and either be silent or say something positive.
Sometimes we don't know the reasons or story behind why someone acts a certain way. Just try, for a moment, to give them the benefit of the doubt and think to yourself "It's not their fault". At times it can be difficult to be sympathetic, but if you make a conscious effort, it works a lot easier than acting on impulse.
4. When you go out for dinner, really look your waitress in the eye and say "Thank you" with meaning and a smile. Even if they are in a bad mood, tell them thank you every time you ask for something. And if you want to be really nice, add an extra dollar or two above what you usually tip.
5. SAKs of LOVE! It doesn't matter if you live in a small city or a large one, in today's economy there are people in need everywhere. Even if you only have $5 to spare, you can go to any store and buy a pair of socks, gloves, scarf, blanket, coat, tooth brush, toothpaste, non-perishable foods..anything useful and either hand deliver it to someone homeless or take it as a donation to a local food pantry or homeless shelter. You can also donate pet food or money to a local animal shelter or simply make an donation online to any charity you wish. Give. It feels good.
6. Pick up a piece of trash. This one is simple and you may think it's not "for someone" but it is, it is for all of us. It is for the beauty and cleanliness of our home, our planet.
7. Tell a family member, friend or love in your life something honest and special about them that you love. It will brighten their day and also brighten yours.
8. At the store, take the 2-5 minutes to return your cart to to the appropriate place instead of leaving it in a parking spot or halfway on a curb. The person who has to collect them may not notice a big difference, but maybe someone will see you doing it and also do it too.
9. Relinquish justice! If someone is rude to you, say something kind in return or just smile and walk away. Let karma and the universe handle their negativity. Don't let their negativity enter your sphere.
10. Send a kind thought to the universe for someone. If you are religious, say a prayer. If you are not religious, just think or say something positive and hopeful for them and send it out to the universe.
11. Donate art supplies, unused musical instruments or even your time to a local school. With government budget cuts, the arts in schools have been suffering. Help your local schools even in a small way. Memorizing and reciting facts does not inspire creativity in children. Art, dance, music and theatre do. Even if you offer to sew costumes for the musical, donate money to the marching band and colorguard/ dance team, or take scraps of fabric to the sewing class to teach quilting - it's something! :)
12. Say thank you to someone! This could be your parents, your teacher, your assistant, the receptionist - someone that is important in your every day life that you don't usually remember to thank. They will love it!
13. Learn to forgive. If there is something that you did or someone did to you, write a letter to yourself or that person (without sending it to them), express your feelings and then shred (or delete) it and LET IT GO. Never bring it up again. If your heart or your mind brings it up again, embrace it with love and release it. It is difficult but over time (time does cure most things) you will think of it less and less until it is gone.
14. Give a flower (or flowers) to a random person. You don't have to say anything, or say whatever you want like "This is to brighten your day". It is guaranteed to make them smile.
15. Give up your seat. If you are on a subway, bus or waiting at a busy doctor's office, give your seat up for someone else. If you have your purse or bag on the seat next to you, put your things in your lap and make room for the person to sit next to you.
16. Visit a nursing home. Even if you just spend an hour sitting and listening, they will appreciate the company. If you wish to do more, just ask what they need. Donating a Wii system (bowling has entertained my grandmother many days), a karaoke system (plenty of laughs all around), your talents (musical performance one evening or knitting class) or even just walking your dog around to visit the residents will brighten their day.
17. Leave a small gift in your mailbox for the mail person. A kind note of thanks, homemade cookies or a hand warmer packet..they will love it. Make sure to put (for my special delivery person or their name if you know it, of course)
18. Do a friend a favor even if it isn't convenient or "fun" for you. Go a little out of your way to make someone else's life a bit easier and you will be guaranteed to make their day.
19. Say you are sorry. If you know you are in the wrong, just say it - and mean it. It's one of the hardest things to do in life. When, and if, you need to say it, say it with meaning and look the person in the eyes. It means more to them than they will probably be able to vocalize.
20. Last but not least, give yourself a hug or tell yourself, "I Love you" Before a person can be kind to others, they need to learn to be kind to themselves. We always beat ourselves up mentally and emotionally. We must all remember, we are not perfect, we are perfectly ourselves.
Love & Light to you all!
